A couple of weeks before, Ernst & Young reported a group of statistics which shows that investments in the growing utility vehicle sector boosted second-quarter clean-tech investment 64 percent to $1.5 billion. Maybe the federal administration is now felt regret about this. Electric cars are far behind the expectation. However, utility vehicle is brightening.
From the statistics the E&Y issued, the federal government is likely the biggest investor in the electric vehicle industry, utility vehicle, as a great part in electric vehicle market, benefits a lot from this policy. In an attempt to grow the industry from the ground up, the Obama administration has committed hundreds of millions of dollars to electric car companies, advanced battery makers and other materials suppliers, but the performance of electric car is not promising. At the same time, Most of today’s people are fully aware of the advantages of the newly utility vehicle, it is environmental friendly, it is energy saving, it is noiseless. Utility vehicle own all these merits, besides, people began to use utility vehicles off golf course. The fact is that the utility vehicle industry now pin their aimed customers on those haves, government, universities, big companies and resorts.
It is easy for people to understand the popularity of utility vehicle. It is money saving. The great wide gap between rich and poor has been grown seriously day by day. The haves own even 2 or 3 cars, while the have-not can only resort to bus or bike. Isn’t that something unfair? Electric utility vehicle on this part are really a revolutionist for equality and harmony. The price is fair and the energy is reproducible. Image this picture, people on auto cars and people on utility vehicles both driving on the road by their own side, funny yet realistic. And what our government needs to do is to regulate enough amount of road for non-electric utility vehicles which they should be done several years before.
Secondly, it is energy saving, how many oil do you need when drive 100 kilometers? 5-15 litre. While how many kilowatt hour do an electric utility vehicle need? Only three hour. See the difference?
Besides, utility vehicles are also people friendly. Put the price factor aside, this type of vehicle is also noiseless and have no waste air. Even the battery the electric utility vehicle use is recyclable now. Imagine the picture between living in a noisy and bad air environment and in a quite and fresh air environment, I believe it’s not hard to make a choice.
What the author wants to emphasis here is that Chinese transportation needs big reform and maybe electric utility vehicles is a wonderful choice. Why not we just give utility vehicle a chance?
